CANTEL
TYPOGRAPHY // BOOK DESIGN
Cantel is a bespoke typeface intended for independent Christian musicians
looking to elevate the design of their materials while beginning their journey
into the music industry.
This soft serif takes inspiration from classic typefaces such as ITC Benguiat
but provides a modern, elegant aesthetic with influences from typography
recently used in the music industry, such as Cochin and bespoke decorative
typography and lettering.
Finally, the project’s scope includes the design and production of a Type
Process and Specimen Book, or TPSB, to showcase the typeface’s origins,
development, and ranges of use as intended.
