EYES TO SEE

BOOK DESIGN // COPYWRITING // ILLUSTRATION

Eyes to See is the philosophical and personal culmination of four years of studying
design at Anderson University, both as a practice and as a worldview. The book
explores the idea of design not as simply an activity but as a God-given lens through
which to interpret and interact with the world.

The content of the book is inspired by and derived from a personally-written design
philosophy required of each graduating senior by the university. It ponders the ideas
of what it means for Christ to be the ultimate Creator and for humans to reflect His
image and glory by being co-creators in their various vocations and activities.

All illustrations in the book are hand-drawn, and the cover is purposefully minimal to
reflect the ideas contained within the book: that design is not simply intricate patterns
and branding; rather, it is a way of seeing the world and responding to the beauty in it.
